ABOUT ME

My name is Niki Lattarulo and I am the weekend sports

anchor/reporter at KCEN-TV in Temple, Texas.

I began working at KCEN in August of 2019 as a

hybrid news and sports reporter/ fill-in sports anchor,

and was promoted to weekend sports anchor/reporter

in November of 2020. From August to March I

covered dozens of Texas high school football games, including playoffs and state championships,

Baylor football and basketball games, NCAA Tournament volleyball, and everything in between.

With coronavirus ending sports across the country, I switched gears to news and gained incredible experience covering the pandemic, severe weather, and a national story involving the search for missing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen.

I graduated from The University of Rhode Island in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and communication studies. For two years I worked with URI Athletics as a reporter for GoRhody.com. This allowed me to attend URI Football and Men's Basketball games as a team reporter covering the games and providing the URI community with pre/ post-game highlights.

I am extremely goal and detail-oriented and never settle for anything less than my goals. I am a very quick and eager learner allowing myself to take charge of many tasks, completing them successfully.

I am always eager to learn and grow, and I crave new experiences that will enhance my passion for being in front of the camera. While I love working in local TV and creating relationships with athletes and coaches, my ultimate goal is to work as a host or sideline reporter for a national sports network.
